Aids Foundation of South Africa (AFSA)

AFSA recognises that the HIV epidemic is rooted in social and relational phenomena conditioned by environmental, cultural, political and socio-economic drivers. Given the complex reality that HIV affects communities and subgroups differently, AFSA uses strategies that address the social and structural drivers of HIV/AIDS and integrates interventions into a broader sexual and reproductive health framework. AFSA focuses on geographies and populations with elevated risk, thereby effectively and efficiently maximizing prevention impact.

Project Management South Africa (PMSA)

Project Management SA (formerly known as PMISA) was formed in 1997 as a National Association to represent project management professionals across all sectors in South Africa. Since 1997 the PMSA membership has grown to almost 1000 members, who are drawn from a diverse cross section of industries and ethnic groups.

The drive to create PMSA came from a need for a cross sector forum for practitioners to meet and work together and for a national body to work with local organisations and the South African government in developing effective project management within South Africa.

Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA)

The SHRA was established in August 2010 by the Minister of Human Settlements as per the Social Housing Act, No 16 of 2008. SHRA is a public entity in terms of Schedule 3A of the Public Finance Management Act, No. 29 of 1999 (PFMA). Social housing is state subsidised rental housing targeted at low to medium income groups earning between R1500 and R15 000. The purpose of social housing is to contribute to the national priority of restructuring South African society in order to address structural, economic, social and spatial dysfunctionalities. Social housing therefore contributes to widening the range of housing options available to the poor.
