Continue reading →The Association for Skills Development in South Africa (ASDSA) is a Section 21 company that represents skills development practitioners and skills development administrators, which includes facilitators, assessors, moderators and training providers. Members are required to abide by a code of conduct and a constitution.
ASDSA is is a non-statutory, SAQA-recognised professional body.

This society’s objectives are grouped under four headings: research, teaching, publications and equity. The purpose of the Society is to encourage, develop and support scholarship and research in the field of the New Testament and related disciplines in general, and specifically within the South African context, to stimulate effective teaching, to promote publication in the field, and to offer its members opportunities for mutual support, intellectual growth, and professional development. The society also strives for sensitivity and inclusivity regarding race, gender and disabilities. The society successfully implemented a postgraduate affiliation (PANTSSA), which provides opportunity for young scholars to share and develop their research.

Unlike other teacher unions who are aligned with other political parties, Natu is neutral. The union was born 97 years ago and has had leaders who come from different political parties. One such leader was President ZK Matthews, who was an astute academic and was a leader of the ANC. He is grandparent of the Senior ANC Minister Naledi Pandor. Natu caters for all age groups, young and old. We have branch leaders who are young and old and we even have members who don’t pay subscription in universities who are pursuing teaching qualifications. Natu is a member of Independent Labour Caucus and is also a member of Education Labour Relations in provinces. Although we are based in KZN, we do have a national presence with branches in Gauteng, MpumalangNorth West, Eastern Cape etc.

Continue reading →Diabetes SA has a National Office in cape Town and 7 branches around the country. Branches are run primarily by volunteers drawn from the ranks of the membership base. Our branches have a strong network through linkages with over 100 smaller local branches and diabetes wellness groups in South Africa.
Diabetes South Africa National Office is the central hub of the organisation. We process membership application forms, and control the national database of patients and members of Diabetes SA. All major events linked to Diabetes awareness is arranged and planned by National Office.
The SA Association of Health Educationalists (SAAHE) is an association of health sciences educators from South African universities, NGOs and government and private sectors. The focus of SAAHE is on improving the quality of teaching and learning in health sciences education so as to enhance the delivery of high quality, affordable and sustainable health care to South Africans in both the public and private sector. The SAAHE community is made up of predominantly physicians but there are an increasing number of professionals in the Allied Health Sciences, including physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and range of other professional disciplines.
