Cape Institute for Architecture (CIfA)

The Cape Institute for Architecture was formed in 1899, and is the largest regional architecture body in South Africwith the potential to influence development in the city of Cape Town and the wider region.

The Institute’s core objectives are to promote the practice of architecture, to serve the interests of its members, and to support the integrity of the profession through maintaining its code of conduct and professional competence as established by the national bodies: The South African Institute of Architects (SAIA) and the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).

Development Institute for Training, Support and Education for Labour (DITSELA)

DITSELA is the Development Institute for Training, Support and Education for Labour. It was established in 1996 by the main trade union federations in South Africto help build a strong trade union movement.

DITSELA is a section 21, not for profit organisation, core funded by the Department of Labour through its Strengthening the Civil Society Fund. It also receives limited programme specific funding from the ETDP Seta and other funders.

The Institute for Landscape Architecture in South Africa (ILASA) is a voluntary organisation registered with the South African Council for the Landscape Architectural Profession. The Institute for Landscape Architecture in South Africa has three regional bodies, one in the Western Cape (ILASA Cape), one in KZN (ILASA KZN) and one in Gauteng (ILASA Gauteng), that represent members countrywide. The National Spa and Pool Institute of South Africa (NSPI) consists of accredited pool shops, pool builders, spa builders, service and repair companies, and manufacturers and suppliers. All our members comply with the NSPI constitution and code of conduct.

We promote consumer goodwill and confidence in the pool industry and have your best interests and that of the pool industry at heart. We also assists consumers with any queries and/or justifiable complaints they may have regarding their NSPI member contractor.

When considering building or renovating a pool always remember that there is a difference in quality, standards and pricing and so often the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten. We therefore encourage you to choose wisely and choose NSPI.

IITPSA (Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa), formerly Computer Society South Africa (CSSA), is a professional body, recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). Established in 1957, the Institute has a long and proud history of service to, and representation of, South Africa’s ICT professionals and practitioners, attracting a broad and active membership from all levels of the ICT Industry.

In 2015, IITPSA’s Professional Member programme (denoted by the professional designation “PMIITPSA”) was accredited by IFIP’s IP3 (International Professional Practice Partnership).

IITPSA’s aims are to further the study, science and application of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs); maintain and promote Codes of Conduct and Ethics for our members; define and promote standards of ICT knowledge; promote the formulation of effective policies on ICT and related matters; and extend the knowledge and understanding and usage of ICTs in the community.
