Continue reading →The club was founded in 1994 by shift workers from Tutuka Power Station who have a need to participate in organised fishing but cannot join a club angling on specific weekends. So the club adapts to our shift workers. We are located in Standerton and we have the prime of fishing waters around Grootdraai Dam.

Jukskei originated as part of the culture of the Afrikaans speaking people, but through competition; expansion and rounding off, the game became more scientific, while people from other cultures are showing interest. Today it is no longer a game like hide-and-seek, but it is an acknowledged SPORT. Jukskei is a competitive sport (compared to professional and recreational types of sport) where only amateurs may participate.

The Range is set in the historic Glencairn Quarry which has long since reverted back to nature, presenting beautiful, sheer cliff faces of over 200 meters in height, looking out to a seascape which encompasses the entire False Bay which is arguably the most idyllic and picturesque setting and largest back-stop any shooting range could hope for!
