and micro-manufacturing of liquor in the the Eastern Cape. A further function of the ECLB is to advise the Member of the Executive Council of the Province for Economic Development and Environmental Affairs with regard to liquor industry matters and to exercise certain further powers contemplated in the Eastern Cape Liquor Act 10 of 2003, and the National Liquor Act 53 of 2003.
The main purpose of the WCGRB is to control and regulate gambling and racing within the Province of the Western Cape, that will provide a stable, just, consistent and effective regulatory environment; inspire public confidence and trust, in an environment free from corruption and unlawful gambling and racing activities; and contribute to the economy of the Western Cape in a socially responsible manner.
