The Southern African Laboratory Diagnostics Association is a body that represents laboratory medicine in Southern Africa and is a unified voice around IVD’s and a collaboration of multinational and local companies who distribute,supply and manufacture In Vitro Diagnostic tests. IVDs contribute to more than 70% of all medical diagnosis and can be used to decrease overall healthcare costs. We believe that broader access to innovative diagnostic tools will drive and support the healthcare paradigm. Our association aims to lead and highlight the relevance and impact of IVD, influence patient lives and wellbeing, improve access, and propel the market within Southern Africa. We actively engage with necessary stakeholders, public, private, advocacy, patient groups about the value industry brings to patients.

Employee Assistance Professionals Association of South Africa (EAPASA)

EAPA-SA affiliated as a Branch of EAPA International in 1997 to provide leadership, strategic direction, professional development and oversight of Employee Assistance practice in South Africa through administration of standards and ethics for practice.

EAPA-SA, currently in its 23rd year, is the only officially recognised voice for the E A profession. It is continually growing and expanding in terms of its scope and influence both in the public and private sector. In recent years EAPA-SA’s presence has expanded into other parts of Africa to support the establishment of like structures. There are currently ten active Chapters across the various provinces of South Africa.
EAPASA is a non-statutory, SAQA-recognised professional body. They have four professional designations:

  1. Employee Assistance Practitioner;
  2. Employee Assistance Professional;
  3. Employee Assistance Coordinator;
