Parachute Association of South Africa (PASA)

AssociationFinder

PASA is a non-profit association of members with the mission statement:

“To foster, develop and facilitate sport parachuting, in all its facets, within South Africin the safest and most progressive manner, on behalf of its members.”

For many people the words parachuting and skydiving conjure up images of adrenalin junkies and daredevils with little regard for their own safety. One of the questions most frequently asked of sport parachutists is, “who in their right mind would want to willingly throw themselves out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft?”

In truth, sport parachuting is a disciplined sport that operates within rigidly defined and enforced safety parameters as set out in PASA’s Manual of Procedures. This Manual has been ratified by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) and is the basis upon which PASA has been approved as an Aviation Recreation Organisation. The safety and training standards contained in the manual are on a par or better than international standards and must be adhered to by all affiliated drop zones and members in South Africa.

South African Camping Club (Eastern Cape) (SACC)

AssociationFinder

The SA Camping Club comprises very ordinary people from diverse walks of life and occupations who enjoy the outdoors, camping either in tents or caravans. Camping is always fun, relaxing and enjoyable, but camping with a group of like-minded friends is even better, and also adds that ‘extra little bit of security’. The Club organises monthly rallies to resorts within an hour or two driving from Port Elizabeth, but we do try and take advantage of long weekends and school holidays, and could relax this rule and go further afield.

South African Camping Club (KwaZulu Natal) (SACC)

AssociationFinder

Like all divisions of the South African Camping Club, the KwaZulu-Natal Section is basically a crowd of like-minded campers who choose to camp together rather than on their own. This does not mean that you cannot get away for a family holiday, nor does it mean that you are obliged to camp with the Club. Several of our members have become good friends over the years and there are often separate group get-togethers arranged, specifically at venues which cater for particular interests like bird-watching or mountain-biking. The S.A. Camping Club originated in KZN and we are proud to boast some 65 member families, including founder members Ted and Moyra Allbon. Despite the largest membership, actual camp attendance hovers around an average of 12 caravans per Rally, with some venues more popular than others, and 80 percent of attendance attributed to about 25 percent of our members.

South African Camping Club (Gauteng) (SACC)

AssociationFinder

The South African Camping Club is made up of ordinary young and not so young people, from diverse walks of life and occupations who enjoy the outdoors, camping either in tents or caravans. The Club organizes monthly outings for its members to parks and resorts within two hours travelling, by car, from the centre of their respective regional centres. Activities are informal without obligation, whether it is a special imaginative national team event arranged by an energetic nut or a simple bring and braai. You may enjoy the fun of watching, but for rest and enjoyment you are free to do your own thing!!

South African Camping Club (Western Cape) (SACC)

AssociationFinder

Camping is always fun, relaxing and enjoyable, but camping with a group of like-minded friends is even better.

We are a group of friends who get together once a month (every month) and camp. We camp in a variety of tents, trailer tents and caravans.

Being a member of a club exposes you to many venues that you would not have thought of going to and also adds that ‘little bit of security’. Membership is limited as to keep the club as intimate as possible. We try to visit as many and varied sites as possible.

Our membership is around 15 active families. As we are a family club we cater for family events during our camping weekends. It’s your choice whether to join in or not. Many members have children and so they enjoy themselves as much as the adults.

National Spa & Pool Institute of South Africa (NSPI)

AssociationFinder

The National Spa and Pool Institute of South Africa (NSPI) consists of accredited pool shops, pool builders, spa builders, service and repair companies, and manufacturers and suppliers. All our members comply with the NSPI constitution and code of conduct.

We promote consumer goodwill and confidence in the pool industry and have your best interests and that of the pool industry at heart. We also assists consumers with any queries and/or justifiable complaints they may have regarding their NSPI member contractor.

When considering building or renovating a pool always remember that there is a difference in quality, standards and pricing and so often the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten. We therefore encourage you to choose wisely and choose NSPI.
