Nafcoc North West is an autonomous and independent business chamber that is affiliated to the National body, Nafcoc. Nafcoc has a historical relationship with the African National Congress (ANC) dating more than four decades. This relationship was based on a shared vision to liberate South Africa from the apartheid oppressive regime that denied black business the opportunity to operate freely by placing restrictive and limiting their participation in the economy of the country. The Chamber is a registered non-profit organisation in terms of the Companies Act of 2008.
The Chamber is continually rebuilding and re-engineering itself to meet the ever changing demands and challenges of SMMEs in the province. We are currently repositioning ourselves to be the Chamber of Choice in the province, which puts the interests of our members first.
Whereas Nafcoc North West is an independent affiliate of Nafcoc, it also seeks to maintain the links and foundation that have sustained it in the past. Our strategic programmes focus on the revival of small to medium-scale enterprises in agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, green energy and technology innovation.
