ORSSA is South Africa’s national, professional body for operations research. Founded in 1969, its aim is to further the interests of those engaged in, or interested in the discipline.
ORSSA’s activities include drawing up guidelines for operations research education at Universities in South Africpresenting short courses, and providing information to the public on the nature of operations research and on career opportunities.
The vision of the Society, Advancing rangeland ecology and pasture management in Africa embodies the mission of the Society and has become the central theme of the Annual Congress.
