Continue reading →Deaf Sport South Africa or DSSA is the national association of multi-code sports of Deaf people in South Africa. Founded in 2012 by Deaf people from 7 provinces namely Free State, KwaZulu Natal, North West, Gauteng, Eastern Cape, Limpopo and Western Cape.
The reason behind the formation of DSSA was the passion for a winning Deaf national team and integrating into hearing sport bodies thereby ensuring equal access to resources.
DSSA is a registered non-profit organisation (NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO).
The mission of the DSAC is to provide an enabling environment for the sport, arts and culture (SAC) sector to foster an active, creative, winning and socially cohesive nation.
