Fossil Fuel Foundation (FFF)
The Fossil Fuel Foundation (FFF) is a non-profit Trust made up of individuals from industry, government and non government organisations, academia and technology – all of whom have an interest in coal and energy. Multidisciplinary topics are covered including those in the coal producer and user sectors, clean coal technologies, alternative energies, conventional and unconventional gas, coalbed methane, health and safety, climate change and the environment. FFF conferences, academic and industrial courses and colloquia provide specialist information on these topics and the FFF membership provides a network throughout the entire coal, carbon and energy sectors both within South Africa and across the region.

Certain objectives of the Protein Research Foundation (PRF), also known as the Proteiennavorsingstigtung and its predecessors, including funding of research to achieve specific objectives, date back to 1973. Before 1990, certain other objectives had to be achieved using specific funds, but those were terminated in 1989 to make way for a pure research function and related matters. Those were determined formally in 1990, with the establishment of a research trust now known as the Protein Research Foundation (PRF).

The NAMC was established in terms of the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act No. 47 of 1996, as amended by Act No 59 of 1997 and Act No. 52 of 2001. We are a statutory body reporting to the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Our mandate is captured in our four core divisions namely; Agribusiness Development, Agricultural Trusts, Statutory Measures and the Markets and Economic Research Centre (MERC).

The main objectives of the Oilseeds Advisory Comittee (OAC) are:
the rendering of advice to the trustees of the Oilseeds Trust in respect of the application of its funds for the benefit of the oilseeds industry;
making of recommendations to all interested parties in the oilseeds industry;- the appointment of trustees to the Oilseeds Trust and any other institutions which the Committee deems necessary to investigate, promote and report on matters relating to the Oilseeds Industry, referred to it.
