The organization was initiated in 1970 with its Headquarters in Eswatini and a National Head office in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our membership comprises of various specialties and levels of indigenous traditional health practices and systems. We are responsible for more than 78,000 THP’s and our mandate is to promote, protect, preserve, and develop the delivery of traditional healthcare, medicine trade, culture and African spirituality. The Organization prides itself for having played a key role in promoting traditional healing and medicine. For this role, THO is considered a leader and an authority in the traditional healing sector.
