Public Health and Social Development Sectoral Bargaining Council (PHSDSBC)

The PHSDSBC is a bargaining council, which was established in 1999, and services employees within the public health and social development sectors. Our mission is to promote labour peace in the public health and social development sectors of South Africa by engaging in constructive collective bargaining regarding issues of mutual interests to all the parties to the Council; and
Facilitating dispute prevention measures to pre-empt the occurrence of disputes within the sector and the resolution of all sector-wide labour disputes speedily and to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
This bargaining council is a registered government bargaining council.

League of Friends of The Blind (LOFOB)

The League of Friends of the Blind (LOFOB) is a Non-Governmental Organisation which caters to the needs of blind and visually impaired individuals. We work to further the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals for Education and Decent Work.

Based in Grassy Park, Western Cape, we have been in operation since 1933 and have assisted in providing independence development services to thousands of individuals from all over South Africa and across the African continent.

Aids Foundation of South Africa (AFSA)

AFSA recognises that the HIV epidemic is rooted in social and relational phenomena conditioned by environmental, cultural, political and socio-economic drivers. Given the complex reality that HIV affects communities and subgroups differently, AFSA uses strategies that address the social and structural drivers of HIV/AIDS and integrates interventions into a broader sexual and reproductive health framework. AFSA focuses on geographies and populations with elevated risk, thereby effectively and efficiently maximizing prevention impact.

Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA)

The SHRA was established in August 2010 by the Minister of Human Settlements as per the Social Housing Act, No 16 of 2008. SHRA is a public entity in terms of Schedule 3A of the Public Finance Management Act, No. 29 of 1999 (PFMA). Social housing is state subsidised rental housing targeted at low to medium income groups earning between R1500 and R15 000. The purpose of social housing is to contribute to the national priority of restructuring South African society in order to address structural, economic, social and spatial dysfunctionalities. Social housing therefore contributes to widening the range of housing options available to the poor.

Not only do the bathing public benefit from the Lifesaving capability of our lifeguards, the community also benefits in many situations away from the bathing facilities where training and skills of our members provide a much safer environment in South Africa.

Tembisa Self Help Association Of The Disabled (TSHAD)

T-SHAD established a self-help factory with various income-generating projects where people with disabilities can thrive and deliver a meaningful service to their community.
