CASME’s vision is “To be a world class centre for changing learners lives through Quality and Innovative Mathematics and Science Education.” CASME’s mission statement is: “To provide quality teacher professional development opportunities for mathematics and science education in under-resourced and rural schools in South Africa to improve learning outcomes.”

Congress of South Africa Trade Unions (COSATU)

The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) was launched in December 1985 after four years of unity talks between unions opposed to apartheid and committed to a non-racial, non-sexist and democratic South Africa. At our launch we represented less than half a million workers organised in 33 unions. We currently have more than two million workers, of whom at least 1.8 million are paid up. Even by international standards we have been among the fastest growing trade union movements in the world. Today when most trade unions are facing a decline in membership, we have continued to grow.

Christian Lawyers Association (CLA)

The objectives of the CLA are inter alia to share the Christian faith amongst the legal profession whilst offering Christian fellowship, support and counselling to members of the profession. In so doing the CLA encourages members of the profession to develop and apply a biblical Christian world view in their world and in society. The CLA seeks to influence lawyers in favour of Judeo-Christian values and to promote Judeo-Christian ethics by lawful, proper and appropriate means. The CLA believes that God is calling the legal profession and related stakeholders to take up a far greater responsibility in our nation than ever before. We believe that the association has a vital role to play in the unfolding destiny of South African and the continent of Africa.

Ceramics Southern Africa (CSA)

Founded in 1972, Ceramics Southern Africa is the official representative body of potters in Southern Africa. The objective of the association is to promote ceramics in Southern Africa by improving the work being produced and to foster an interest in ceramics by the general public. This is done by presenting workshops and organising exhibitions regionally and nationally. The purpose of Ceramics Southern Africa is to maintain a representative forum for the encouragement and fostering of the art and craft of ceramics in Southern Africa. The field encompasses all relevant processes that add value to clay.

Cuckoo Bird Club (CBC)

We are a small, super-friendly bird club. Our motto is 20% birding, 80% fun!

The Cuckoo Bird Club was started in 1998 by Monty Brett. The first members were graduates on the Sappi/Brett Beginners Bird Course of 1997. The club is known for its laid back attitude to birding, for fun, knowledge and pleasure. Outings are designed to be pleasant and appeal to all, young and old, experienced and inexperienced and to cover most of the habitats that will provide the greatest variety of birds.
