The Cape Institute for Architecture was formed in 1899, and is the largest regional architecture body in South Africwith the potential to influence development in the city of Cape Town and the wider region.

The Institute’s core objectives are to promote the practice of architecture, to serve the interests of its members, and to support the integrity of the profession through maintaining its code of conduct and professional competence as established by the national bodies: The South African Institute of Architects (SAIA) and the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).

Cape Kidney Association (CKA)

The Cape Kidney Association is a Grassroots Non-Profit Organisation that raises funds for indigent Kidney patients. The Non-Profit Association was founded in 1978 by a group of Nephrology Doctors and Nurses who saw a need to assist indigent Kidney patients.

We the Cape Kidney Association support Kidney dialysis patients with monthly food parcels, travel allowance to get to the hospitals for their dialysis and bursaries to further their studies or start-up costs for small businesses.

This is the only organisation in the Western Cape that is Kidney patient care based.

Critical Care Society of South Africa (CCSSA)

The Critical Care Society of South Africa (CCSA) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to delivering appropriate, quality care to the critically ill.
Founded in 1970, the CCSA represents doctors, nurses and allied health practitioners working in the field of critical care medicine. The CCSA provides professional development; research; guidelines; protocols; accreditation; training; conferences and seminars to its members.

The CCSSA is administered by volunteers from the professional community.
