Turnaround Management Association Southern Africa (TMASA)

The Turnaround Management Association (TMA) is the most professionally diverse organization in the corporate restructuring, renewal, and corporate health space. Established in 1988, TMA has almost 10,000 members in 54 chapters worldwide. Members include turnaround practitioners, attorneys, accountants, advisors, liquidators, consultants, as well as academic, government employees, and members of the judiciary.

The Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and its chapters value and seek diversity and inclusiveness in principle and in practice. TMA welcomes all industry professionals as members, leaders and participants consistent with the organization’s diversity values.

With this in mind, TMA is committed to including representation from a broad range of identity groups in the membership and all of its leadership, programmatic activities, and business of the Association. Identity groups include and are not limited to age, appearance, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identification, geographic location, nationality, professional level, race, religion, and sexual orientation.

  1. To Promote and Protect the Interests and Aspirations of the Traditional Health Practitioners (THP’s),
  2. To serve as a Peer Review Mechanism for all its members,
  3. To Represent Members in the Department of Health (DOH), the Interim Traditional Health Practitioners’ Council of South Africa (ITHPCSA) or any related Government Organizations on Matters that affect Their Profession,
  4. To Create Public Awareness on the Works of Traditional Health Practitioners (THP’s), Safety and efficacy of Traditional Medicine (TM), and the importance of Traditional Health Practice in General,
  5. To Promote Training and Education of Traditional Health Practitioners (THP’s) through partnerships with relevant Training Providers in South Africa,
  6. To Promote continuous Research and Development in Medicinal Plants to Expand the existing Body of Knowledge Regarding Traditional Medicine and Diseases in South Africa.
