Pretoria Writers’ Circle (PWC)

We aim to provide an encouraging and supportive environment where members can learn from each other and improve their writing skills in an enjoyable and social setting. We offer a forum for the exchange of ideas and information, while making time for friendships with fun, humour and social events.

We are a small group of enthusiastic writers and we welcome people who share our passion for creative writing to join us to share your efforts and ideas, improve your technique, or just to enjoy the readings of the other members’ work in a creative atmosphere.

We invite you to be our guest and come along to the next meeting. There, you will learn about the Circle and share in our news and plans. If you enjoy yourself, you could become a member. Aspiring writers and interested parties, at any level of experience and skill, are welcome.

The Pretoria Writers’ Circle typically meets every third Saturday from 09:30 to 13:30.

National Foundry Technology Network (NFTN)

The National Foundry Technology Network aims to support and facilitate growth and transformation in the foundry (metal-casting) industry through focused interventions that are designed to support improved foundry competitiveness, the industrialisation of new technologies and products and the development of critical skills for the sector. The NFTN is a programme of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) hosted by the CSIR.

Office of the Health Ombud (OHO)

The Office of the Health Ombud is an independent body established in terms of the National Health Amendment Act of 2013 and is located within the Office of Health Standards Compliance (OHSC). The Office is assisted by persons designated and seconded by the OHSC with the concurrence of the Ombud and reports to and is accountable to the Minister of Health. Professor Malegapuru William Makgoba was appointed by Minister of Health as the first Health Ombud in South Africa since 1st June 2016 for a non-renewable term of seven years.

National Youth Development Outreach (NYDO)

In 1990 Billy Paulson established a Community Development Organization called “Youth Development Outreach” (YDO). With a mission to train, teach and develop young people and taking a firm stand against the evils of society influencing the youth. This would be accomplished through unconditional acceptance.
Over the years, the organisation has grown and developed to offer a comprehensive range of prevention and intervention services, as well as developmental programmes aimed at shaping the future of South Africa by developing new skills, knowledge and values among children, youth, and their families, to help them achieve their fullest potential in life.

To achieve its mission, NYDO focuses on addressing the underlying socio-economic conditions that increase the risk factors for criminal behaviour, such as poverty, unemployment, and inadequate parenting

National Ostrich Processors of South Africa (NOPSA)

NOPSA consists of, members from the Ostrich Processors community and endeavours to, amongst others, promote the interests of the Ostrich Processing industry in South Africto approach Government in co-operation with the South African Ostrich Business Chamber, to coordinate any matter directly or indirectly affecting the affairs of the Ostrich Processing Industry, and to serve as a Forum for constant dialogue amongst its members and to promote dialogue between other members in the industry i.e. Producers.

National Organisation for Employers South Africa (NOESA)

NOESA is a duly constituted, bona-fide Employers Organisation as contemplated by the Labour Relations Act with its head-office in Polokwane. NOESA exclusively attends to the interests of Employers in the workplace. Due to the Act and the subsequent increased pressures of Trade Unions and employees in respect of labour related issues in the workplace, Employers identified the urgent and dire need to unite under one “umbrella” with the goal to protect Employers on a collective and consolidated basis.

Organisation of South African Law Libraries (OSALL)

OSALL is the Organisation of South African Law Libraries – the national law library organisation of South Africa and was established in 1976. There are about 150 members from university libraries, bar associations, private law firms, the government sector, courts and publishing houses. Our head quarters are in Gauteng but we have members all over South Africa. We welcome membership applications from anyone interested in law librarianship.
