The objectives of the National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in its identified territories are:


  1. To regulate the sport of horseracing.

  2. To govern the sport with integrity.

  3. To serve the industry through excellent, efficient and effective administration of amongst others, the Stud Book, registrations, licensing, race day services and laboratory services.

  4. To promote and/or encourage the promotion of the sport of horseracing, the quality of the thoroughbred, industry training and skills development.

  5. To promote and foster co-operation and goodwill with recognised authorities, governments and other relevant stakeholders.

National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA)

Numsa is the biggest metalworkers trade union in South Africa with more than 339, 567 members (as at January 2014).

Formed in 1987, it merged five different unions, some of whom had formed in the 1960s and 1970s. So Numsa brings a wealth of experience to trade unionism. It is the biggest trade union (except in Eskom) in all national bargaining forums where it bargains. Regional offices can be found in all the provinces.

The National Union of Food, Beverage, Wine, Spirit and Allied Workers (NUFBWSAW) is a trade union representing workers in the food and drink processing industry in South Africa.

The union was established in 1993, when the Food and Beverage Workers’ Union merged with the National Union of Wine, Spirits and Allied Workers. Like both its predecessors, it affiliated to the National Council of Trade Unions.[1] By 1995, it claimed 20,000 members. National Organisation for Employers South Africa (NOESA)

NOESA is a duly constituted, bona-fide Employers Organisation as contemplated by the Labour Relations Act with its head-office in Polokwane. NOESA exclusively attends to the interests of Employers in the workplace. Due to the Act and the subsequent increased pressures of Trade Unions and employees in respect of labour related issues in the workplace, Employers identified the urgent and dire need to unite under one “umbrella” with the goal to protect Employers on a collective and consolidated basis.
