Continue reading →The Historical Association of South Africa is the oldest professional organisation in the country for historians specialising in aspects of southern African history. The Association has as its main objective the furtherance of history as a discipline in particular the study and understanding of the history of South Africby means of the following:
Ø the encouragement of history as a subject in South African universities, colleges of education and schools;
Ø the improvement of the quality of the teaching of History as a subject generally;
Ø the development and awareness of the importance of History;
Ø by publishing historical journals/magazines;
Ø by publishing any other publications of a historical nature and by supporting the publishing of historical material;
Ø by collecting historical documents and archival material and depositing them to the relevant South African archives;
Ø by promoting historical documents and archival material and depositing them to the relevant South African archives;
Ø by promoting historical museums through collecting relevant pieces for the museums;
Ø by co-operating with statutory bodies and other institutions involved with the preservation or restoration of historical artefacts (and articles); and
Ø by working together with other organisations to promote common ideals.
AATOSA, as an affiliate of CAASA, is where all reputable aviation training organisations have the opportunity to collectively discuss and partake in the direction where commercial and general aviation is heading in South Africa. Through CAASA we have a role to play in the rules, regulations and practices that governs and promotes aviation. AATOSA creates an opportunity to be involved, share opinions and contribute to the growth of the aviation sector and skills development. Every aviation training organization should be part of this association and every customer, student and instructor of such an ATO should insist on it!
Continue reading →The National Woolgrowers Association of SA (NWGA), also known as the Nasionale Wolkwekersvereniging Van Suid Afrika (NWSA), having been founded in 1926 and established in 1929, is the oldest producer organisation serving the wooled sheep farmer. It has since developed into a countrywide association comprising of 6 provinces with a membership base of more than 4 500 commercial and 20 000 communal members. Branches can be found in all provinces.
Our motto is more sheep: more wool and this is achieved through the performance of Production Technology Services which is offered to commercial and communal farmers.
