The Interchange Foundation is a community collaboration NGO based at Helderberg Village in Somerset West. It’s mission is to implement a model for retirement villages to actively engage with all role-players within their communities in a quest for a “viable and unified community”, one of the precepts of the National Development Plan.
Continue reading →The number of clubs affiliated to the Kennel Union in July 1998 stood at 189. A continuous record of registration of dogs has been kept since the first entry in 1891. Initially these were handwritten into special ledgers. In 1944 the ledgers were superceded by bound books of typed copies of Registration Certificates. The advent of computerisation saw a change to the records, these now being kept in the computer data bank.
Presently the Kennel Union is the internationally recognised representative of pure bred dogdom in South AfricNamibiBotswanLesotho and Swaziland. Reciprocal agreements are in force between the Union and many other similar bodies throughout the world.

The IFE is a registered charity working for societal benefit. Founded in 1918, the IFE assesses knowledge of fire and professional experience, awarding internationally recognised membership grades and fire-related qualifications. Through its Engineering Council licence as a Professional Engineering Institution (PEI), the IFE registers suitably qualified IFE members as Chartered Engineers (CEng), Incorporated Engineers (IEng) and Engineering Technicians (Eng Tech). Learning opportunities are worldwide within the IFE fire community and the IFE delivers over 7,300 fire-related exams each year which are required by many Fire and Rescue Services for promotion both within the UK and internationally.

The Institute provides a platform so as to advise on the practice and principles of the plumbing industry. The Institute regularly consults and liaises with the plumbing industry, governmental and regulatory bodies for the discussion of matters affecting the plumbing industry.

The institute of South African Municipal Accounting Officers (ISAMAO) is a professional organisation for Municipal Managers in South Africa. It was officially launched on 27 November 2014. The aim of the Institute is the professionalisation of the position of the municipal manager. In terms of its Constitution, among others, it aims to ensure that the municipalities’ collective institutional memory is not lost to local government, generally , and to municipalities, specifically, while setting norms, standards and values for Municipal Accounting Officers.
