National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA)

Numsa is the biggest metalworkers trade union in South Africa with more than 339, 567 members (as at January 2014).

Formed in 1987, it merged five different unions, some of whom had formed in the 1960s and 1970s. So Numsa brings a wealth of experience to trade unionism. It is the biggest trade union (except in Eskom) in all national bargaining forums where it bargains. Regional offices can be found in all the provinces.

National Union of Furniture & Allied Workers South Africa, Sick Benefit Society (NUFAWSA)

The National Union of Furniture & Allied Workers SA (Nufawsa) Sick Benefit Society is a managed Sick benefit fund, for all Nufawsa employees associated with the Nufawsa Union and was established during 1926 focusing on the lower income earners in the Allied and Furniture Industry and regulated by the Labour Relations Act. Nufawsa believes that the establishment of an anti-racist / non-racial, non exploitative and democratic society depends on the unity of the working class directed at the eradication of oppression, exploitation and discrimination as well as the promotion, development and maintenance of an authentic working class leadership.

National Stokvels Association of South Africa (NASASA)

The National Stokvel Association of South Africa is a self-regulatory organisation mandated to represent the interests of the Stokvel sector, as contemplated in Government Gazette 37903. In terms of the Banks Act 1990 (Act No. 94 of 1990), a Stokvel group is required to be a member of NASASA or a similar body approved by the Registrar of Banks.
NASASA is the sole association approved by the Registrar of Banks. It represents a constituency of over 800 000 Stokvel groups consisting of over 11 million individuals, collecting roughly R50 billion annually.

The association includes disciplines related to the rehabilitation of patients suffering from all forms of Ocular and Orbital trauma resulting in either blindness or loss of either one or both eyes. An Ocularist is a trained professional who fits and manufactures Custom Designed Ocular Prostheses (artificial eyes).
