The NGB’s strategic intent is to sustain and grow its regulatory capability to position South Africa as the pre-eminent jurisdiction with an exemplary and effectively regulated gambling industry.
NOESA is a duly constituted, bona-fide Employers Organisation as contemplated by the Labour Relations Act with its head-office in Polokwane. NOESA exclusively attends to the interests of Employers in the workplace. Due to the Act and the subsequent increased pressures of Trade Unions and employees in respect of labour related issues in the workplace, Employers identified the urgent and dire need to unite under one “umbrella” with the goal to protect Employers on a collective and consolidated basis.
Continue reading →The Office of the Health Ombud is an independent body established in terms of the National Health Amendment Act of 2013 and is located within the Office of Health Standards Compliance (OHSC). The Office is assisted by persons designated and seconded by the OHSC with the concurrence of the Ombud and reports to and is accountable to the Minister of Health. Professor Malegapuru William Makgoba was appointed by Minister of Health as the first Health Ombud in South Africa since 1st June 2016 for a non-renewable term of seven years.

It was envisaged that the PDMA would form partnerships with several stakeholders. The main stakeholder would be government, as most of the matters around disease control require government input. Over a period, the PDMA will form a Public Private Partnership with government to ensure that its objectives are met.
