Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB)

In pursuance of its vision, the PanSALB mission is to:

  • promote multilingualism
  • create conditions for the development and use of all South African official languages, including the Khoi, Nama and San languages, and South African Sign Language
  • promote respect and recognition for all languages, including previously marginalised languages and all other languages commonly used by South African communities
  • promote the development of previously marginalised languages
    advocate for rights relating to language and the status of language
    initiate, enable, and conduct research in accordance with the PanSALB mandate

NOESA exclusively attends to the interests of Employers in the workplace. Due to the Act and the subsequent increased pressures of Trade Unions and employees in respect of labour related issues in the workplace, Employers identified the urgent and dire need to unite under one “umbrella” with the goal to protect Employers on a collective and consolidated basis.

Office of the Health Ombud (OHO)

The Office of the Health Ombud is an independent body established in terms of the National Health Amendment Act of 2013 and is located within the Office of Health Standards Compliance (OHSC). The Office is assisted by persons designated and seconded by the OHSC with the concurrence of the Ombud and reports to and is accountable to the Minister of Health. Professor Malegapuru William Makgoba was appointed by Minister of Health as the first Health Ombud in South Africa since 1st June 2016 for a non-renewable term of seven years.

Poultry Disease Management Agency (PDMA)

The PDMA, an initiative of the South African Poultry Association was established to have direct involvement in poultry disease control measures – ensuring quality control nationwide. It was envisaged that the PDMA would form partnerships with several stakeholders. The main stakeholder would be government, as most of the matters around disease control require government input. Over a period, the PDMA will form a Public Private Partnership with government to ensure that its objectives are met.
