It’s objective is to fight hunger and poverty within Alexandra community and caring for vulnerables and orphans. We have a Feeling Scheme and Kitchen soup for our community frim Monday to Saturday. We offer breakfast and lunch. We are hereby applying for any kind of donations to make our feeding scheme a success to our community.
OHASA was registered with the South African Medical and Dental Council in April 1979. It was subsequently recognised by the International Liaison Committee on Dental Hygiene as a duly Constituted Group representing the interests of Oral Hygienists in South Africa in 1983.
With the assistance and support from OHASA a Professional Board for Oral Hygiene was established in October 1980 under the powers vested in the Minister of Health, Welfare and Pensions, Dr L A P A Munnik, by section 15(4) of the Medical, Dental and Supplementary Health Service Professions Act, 1974 (Act 56 of 1974).
Continue reading →The Nisaa Institute for Women’s Development (henceforth referred to as Nisaa) was started by a group of committed women activists, in response to the growing problem of violence against women. The organisation was initiated at the end of 1993 and launched in April 1994, with the assistance of the Frauen Anstiftung.
Nisaa is a non-profit, non-governmental organization, opposed to all forms of oppression, exploitation and violence against women. Nisaa particularly focuses on the prevention of gender violence and the empowerment of women who have been abused at the hands of their partners.
