The Professional Hunters’ Association of South Africa (PHASA) takes its social responsibility seriously. In 2003, PHASA established the PHASA Conservation Fund. Initially, the aim of the Fund was to promote and directly fund worthy conservation projects. In 2005, the Fund extended its mandate, and its name was changed to the PHASA Conservation and Empowerment Fund and in 2019 to the PHASA Foundation.

South Africa is renowned for its unique conservation success story which is attributed to the phenomenal role wildlife ranchers have played in securing essential wildlife habitat, through the rewilding and protection of species and biodiversity.
WRSA and its members play an integral role in the wildlife economy and advocate for the responsible and sustainable use of renewable natural resources. The expansion of wildlife habitat, conservation of species and protection of biodiversity outside of protected areas, is our game.

The EWT is dedicated to conserving threatened species and ecosystems in southern and East Africa for the benefit of all people. We achieve this by implementing target-driven research and conservation action programmes, implementing projects that address the threats facing
species, and supporting sustainable natural resource management.
SANParks manages a system of 19 functional national parks in seven of the nine provinces of South Africa with a total area of just over 4 million hectares comprising 67% of the protected areas under state management. The SANParks of today is recognised as a world leader in conservation and protected area management.
