The accountabilities of the SA Colliery Managers’ Association (SACMA) are to Ensure knowledge transfer of Coal Industry practices between current and future members, Provide structure for networking between members and affiliates with major stakeholders. SACMA wants to ensure sharing of best practices to add value to the member and business while providing the vehicle that is the mechanism for social interaction between members.
SACMA is also recognized through the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Voluntary Association which provides some influence in terms of the accreditation of learning materials and institutions, as well as strengthening the Association’s role with regard to registration matters.
