Continue reading →The KwaZulu-Natal Blind & Deaf Society provides services mostly to African people, generally poor, unemployed and living in rural areas. The Society currently reaches the poor, unemployed African people living in rural areas who do not have the finances or ability to receive services. The greatest challenge that the Society faces, is how to improve these unfortunate individuals quality of life. The sad situation is that these almost forgotten people are not only deprived, but also disabled, which leaves them feeling very inadequate and incapable, and the sad fact is that most of them receive no external assistance

It serves DeafBlind individuals of all ages, dealing with all conditions of DeafBlindness, no matter what the degree of severity of the dual sensory impairments. DBSA was established in order to serve as the voice of Deafblind people in South Africa.
Continue reading →Deaf Sport South Africa or DSSA is the national association of multi-code sports of Deaf people in South Africa. Founded in 2012 by Deaf people from 7 provinces namely Free State, KwaZulu Natal, North West, Gauteng, Eastern Cape, Limpopo and Western Cape.
The reason behind the formation of DSSA was the passion for a winning Deaf national team and integrating into hearing sport bodies thereby ensuring equal access to resources.
DSSA is a registered non-profit organisation (NPO) and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO).
