The Government Communication and Information System (GCIS):
provides professional services,
sets and influences adherence to standards for an effective government communication system,
drives coherent government messaging,
proactively communicates with the public about government policies, plans programmes and achievements.
LITASA is a volunteer-run member body with the primary purpose of promoting literacy. Through research, sharing of best practice and community collaboration, we aim to grow a strong literacy community. We bring together individuals and organisations using various platforms including our workshops, national conference, outreach programmes, scholarly journal, website and social media. We operate at a national level and have four branches working locally. We comprise members who come from various spheres at all levels within the literacy sector. LITASA is a registered NPO and PBO.
