LaRSSA was founded on the 8th of August 2012 and publicly inaugurated and constituted on the 15th November 2012. LaRSSA is a non-profit organization with a current membership of 250 and growing rapidly. LaRSSA has a potential member database of more than 2500.
The Johannesburg Society of Advocates is a distinguished voluntary association governed by a constitution and a set of rules. Its membership is exclusive to those who are briefed by attorneys. The Society currently reaches the poor, unemployed African people living in rural areas who do not have the finances or ability to receive services. The greatest challenge that the Society faces, is how to improve these unfortunate individuals quality of life. The sad situation is that these almost forgotten people are not only deprived, but also disabled, which leaves them feeling very inadequate and incapable, and the sad fact is that most of them receive no external assistance

Established in 1888, during Johannesburg’s pioneer gold rush years, it has been taking care of the welfare and burial needs of the community ever since. From inception it provided a paternal, protective and unifying influence and accepted the leadership role in developing the community.
