National Stokvels Association of South Africa (NASASA)

The National Stokvel Association of South Africa is a self-regulatory organisation mandated to represent the interests of the Stokvel sector, as contemplated in Government Gazette 37903. In terms of the Banks Act 1990 (Act No. 94 of 1990), a Stokvel group is required to be a member of NASASA or a similar body approved by the Registrar of Banks.
NASASA is the sole association approved by the Registrar of Banks. It represents a constituency of over 800 000 Stokvel groups consisting of over 11 million individuals, collecting roughly R50 billion annually.

In 1990 Billy Paulson established a Community Development Organization called “Youth Development Outreach” (YDO). With a mission to train, teach and develop young people and taking a firm stand against the evils of society influencing the youth. This would be accomplished through unconditional acceptance.

The National Bargaining Council for the Chemical Industry (NBCCI) is based in Johannesburg, South Africa and serves the Chemical sector nationally. The NBCCI draws its authority from various labour legislations of South Africa viz. Labour Relations Act of 1995, Basic Conditions of Employment Act and its Constitution.
