The National Association of Social Housing Organisations – NASHO – is an independent member-based association of 21 social housing institutions (SHIs) across South Africa and 2 support organisations.
Its primary objective is to assist to build a strong and sustainable social housing sector in South Africa with Social Housing Institutions at the heart of the delivery.
The NAC was established in April, 1997 through an act of parliament (Act no.56 of 1997). The vision of the NAC is to promote, through the arts, the free expression of South Africa’s cultures.

Its mission is to nurture the growth in the industry and meet the challenges of an ever-changing environment in which Managing Agents operate, it has become necessary to adequately train professionals to effectively manage the affairs of communal housing schemes in addition, it is imperative that trustees and committees are better skilled and informed about their management and fiduciary responsibilities, relevant scheme development, and the advantages of employing a professional property manager.
The NACCW is an independent Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) in South Africa which provides the professional training and infrastructure to promote healthy child and youth development and improve standards of care and treatment for orphaned, vulnerable and at-risk children and youth in family, community and residential group care settings.
All NACCW activities are focused on improving the quality of services provided to at-risk children and youth through developing the abilities of those who work directly with them – child and youth care workers.
NAAMSA was established in 1935 to represent South Africa:
