Sea Rescue is a charity staffed by volunteers who are on call, day and night throughout the year. We have rescue bases along the coast and on inland dams. Our goal is to prevent drowning through education, through preventative measures and through rescue. Year after year we update and improve on our skills and techniques and we continuously investigate new technologies.

NPSWU takes an active role in the PSI Quality Public Services-Action Now! (QPS) campaign. Continue reading →The National School of Government (NSG) is mandated with the responsibility of ensuring that public servants comply with the provisions of established legislation, regulations and systems, and can exercise proper discretion and innovation in solving routine and complex delivery problems. To this end, the NSG is tasked with ensuring that all public servants’ participate and complete education, training and development initiatives, as per relevant legislation and Cabinet directives. The NSG is furthermore expected to ensure service delivery impact by supporting institutional performance. At a practical level, the mandate incorporates: (i) providing education and training, (ii) support institutional development, (iii) fostering collaboration, (iv) offering qualifications, and (v) conducting training, examinations or tests (pre-requisites). The mandate extends to providing all offerings in the three spheres of government, state-owned entities and other organs of state.

In de West-Kaap verblijven naar schatting 10.000 personen van Nederlandse afkomst, die aldaar sedert langere tijd, meer recent of tijdelijk woonachtig zijn. De Club organiseert regelmatig activiteiten m.n. op sociaal, cultureel en sportief gebied. Als netwerk biedt de NCK voor haar leden ook een goed netwerk voor het uitwisselen van infomatie en ervaringen.
