In forming a new chamber of commerce and industry, the unifying bodies agreed to forego their independent identities. Following the unification, the Bloemfontein Chamber of Commerce and Industry is actively campaigning for recognition of the local and provincial governments as the representative of the business community in Bloemfontein as well as the Free State. The Association is affilliated to Master Builders South Africa (MBSA).
The Association currently operates on a wide scale with regular meetings at its three main branches namely, Port Elizabeth, East London and Southern Cape. Meetings are also held regularly in Grahamstown, Port Alfred, Queenstown, Jeffreys Bay and annually in most of the country towns within the Association’s area of jurisdiction.

The Marine Industry Association of South Africa was established as a nationally inclusive, representative association to unite the entire boating industry, from boatbuilders and their suppliers to retailers, importers, brokers, surveyors, yacht clubs, fishing associations, to name but a few.
MIASA is open to all companies and covers the entire boating value chain from design to manufacture, to sale, to mooring to boating activities.
