This includes measuring, testing, calibration, verification and other bodies, as well as laboratories which operate in well-defined areas of R&D in the natural and applied sciences.

The objectives of the new National Laboratory Association is to become a truly representative association for accredited and non-accredited member laboratories.

Pretoria Arms and Ammunition Association (PAAA)

Also known as the Pretoria Wapen en Ammunisie Vereniging, the primary objectives of the PAAA are:

  • To promote the collecting, study, restoration, preservation and legitimate use of all arms and ammunition and related items;
  • to exchange information and knowledge amongst members and amongst associations and organisations with similar objectives;
  • to promote the safe handling and possession of arms and to establish sound arms etiquette;
  • to establish and maintain a sound knowledge of all relevant laws relating to firearms and ammunition; and
  • to encourage and assist members to apply for registration as collectors of firearms and ammunition;

National Religious Association for Social Development (NRSAD)

NRSAD represents the concerns and interests of different faith welfare networks, which include Baha’i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Islamic and Jewish traditions. It has established itself in a relatively short period as an important national role-player that strives to fulfil the following functions:
