SASIAA is a voluntary association existing under the auspices of the South African Sugarcane Research Institute (SASRI), and whose membership is open to all who qualify in terms of its constitution. It aims to promote the development and application of the science of sugarcane agronomy in Southern Africa by creating opportunities for the free exchange of relevant ideas, knowledge and information between members. We maintain records of various field trial reports and make these available to members.

SARA’s role is to promote, develop and empower the reward profession in South Africa, and to ensure that Reward specialists and managers, human resources professionals and executives dealing with and responsible for Reward management, have the skills, confidence and passion for the reward discipline to make a significant difference in the way organisations position themselves to achieve their strategic objectives. SARA plays a key role in the professional development of Reward professionals in South Africa through its internationally recognised training and internship programmes. Since its inception in 1997, SARA has grown from strength to strength. SARA’s head office is based in Johannesburg with branches in the Western Cape (Cape Town) and KwaZulu Natal (Durban) to serve our members nationally. The SARA membership listing includes corporate firms, government service and State Owned companies. Most organisations listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange are corporate members of the association and our individual membership listing exceeds 3500.

To contribute to the improvement of life of Southern African nations by improving scientific knowledge and skills through the utilization of interactive living science and technology discovery centres (S&T centres).
To disseminate knowledge in science and technology to the public in general and the youth in particular through imaginative and enjoyable hands-on exhibits, displays and programmes, so that they can appreciate the relevance of science and technology in their daily lives.

  • To serve as a catalyst for our youth to develop their creativity and to nurture their interest in related fields.
  • To establish a centre of excellence and innovation in non-formal science education.
  • To provide satisfying careers for the S&T centre workforce.

South African Meat Processors Association (SAMPA)

The SA Meat Processors Association (SAMPA) is a voluntary association of stakeholders in the meat processing sector. SAMPA is the national representative body for the processed meat sector in South Africa.
Founded in 1945, SAMPA together with government and other stakeholders has been instrumental in the formulation of voluntary and statutory regulations in the interest of consumer protection, food safety and nutrition.Its members produce products that are safe, nutritious and offer excellent value for money to consumers. SAMPA provides support, information and assistance to members in order to simplify a complex regulatory framework. Members include large and small corporations, as well as independent processors of all sizes with the mandate as an industry body to represent the entire processed meat value chain.
