Continue reading →EPASA stands for Ethnomedicine Practitioners Association of South Africa and is a body which accredits and controls the ethnomedical practice under the Traditional Health Practitioners Act.
EPASA was established in 1987, to promote, enhance and unify the practise of ethnomedicine in South Africa.
The Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of SA (EAPASA) was established in 2012. It exists to promote, on a non-profit basis, the advancement of the practice and quality of environmental assessment in South Africa in the public interest, in the interest of the environment and in terms of relevant legislation. EAPASA is a Registration Authority which registers Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAPs) based on the set of core competencies under the Section 24H Registration Authority Regulations of the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA), Act 107 of 1998, as amended.

EAPA-SA, currently in its 23rd year, is the only officially recognised voice for the E A profession. It is continually growing and expanding in terms of its scope and influence both in the public and private sector. In recent years EAPA-SAs presence has expanded into other parts of Africa to support the establishment of like structures. There are currently ten active Chapters across the various provinces of South Africa.

By means of active exchange and critique of hypotheses, theories, and practices, EASA-members strive to promote excellence in education-related research and science. EASA hosts an annual conference (generally in January) and this event offers a platform for spirited debate about education, past and present, and how this might best inform future education and necessary social change.
