An Ocularist is a trained professional who fits and manufactures Custom Designed Ocular Prostheses (artificial eyes). An Ocularist is also qualified to fit Scleral or Haptic Shells (an artificial eye shell which fits over a blinded eye). The Ocularist’s domain is the eye socket and blinded Physical eyes.

After consideration (backed by a legal opinion) the Management Team agreed to register the LFWA as a Constituted Association and not a company- not for gain. Its key functions are to lobby, advise and advocate on matters relating to the Liquid Fuels Industry – in particular on liquid fuels wholesaling matters. To educate and engage stakeholders on issues relating to the liquid fuels sector throughout the value chain, through work shops / seminars and social media platforms – focusing on issues that impact directly on the wholesaler. The LFWA is an independent recognized body that ensures liquid fuels wholesalers operate in an environment that is com plaint to all relevant legislation. Participate fully in all legislation / regulation interactions ensuring sustainability of the liquid fuels industry.

Continue reading →The Meat Traders Association Gauteng is the only employer’s organisation representing the majority of employers within the Retail Meat Trade. The Association was formed in the late 1940’s being a party to the then Industrial Council for the Retail Meat Trade in Gauteng. The Meat Traders Association Gauteng is affiliated to the National Federation of Meat Traders which is the only recognized National organisation representative of all role-players in this particular sector of the Meat Industry in South Africa. The Meat Traders Association Gauteng represents the interests of independent retailers’ opinions in both the established and the emergent sector as well as independent supermarkets and national chain stores. As the Federation represents the interests of the distributive Meat Industry on a national level, recognised by role players within the Industry from feedlots to the consumer, the Federation plays an important role and has a voice in the decision making processes within the Industry. Through this body, the Association is kept abreast of all developments within the food chain, from new legislation and regulation introduced by Government to fostering or stimulating demand for meat, offal and meat products to benefit our members within the Meat Trade. The Meat Traders Association represents employers at the National Federation of Meat Traders as well as representing employers in all Labour Disputes at the Bargaining Council for Meat Trade Gauteng and CCMA as well as employer queries pertaining to labour matters within the jurisdiction of the Bargaining Council for Meat Trade Gauteng.
Continue reading →The Landscape Irrigation Association, formerly known as the TIwas formed in 1983. From humble beginnings in Gauteng, it has become the nationally recognised mouthpiece of the landscape irrigation industry.
The primary objective of the Association is to improve and uphold professionalism and standards in the industry. To this end a comprehensive Code of Conduct and Code of Standards has been compiled. The standards are benchmarked against the best global standards and are continually expanded and updated to keep pace with technological advances in the industry.
The LIA Membership encompasses all spheres of the industry. These include irrigation contractors, irrigation distributors, landscape architects, piping and other irrigation equipment providers. Regular meetings are held, in which members are encouraged to participate and network with their peers in the industry. To facilitate an ongoing educational programme, specialists are invited to give presentations on various important aspects in the industry.
The National Accommodation Association of South Africa is a network of guesthouses, bed and breakfasts (B&B) and self-catering accommodation around South Africa. All our members comply with the Association’s strict standards and requirements for membership ensuring quality, reputable service and value for money. Furthermore, smaller accommodation providers are a key driver of our economy. We want to ensure our members are visible, have a voice, and are able to grow through making use of our extensive network of partners and support system.
