Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) is an independent, transdisciplinary scientific research institute based across two campuses in the province of KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) in South Africa.

AHRI’s research combines population, basic and translational, social, and clinical sciences to understand and intervene in the health and well-being of South African communities.

AHRI works in partnership with local communities and South African academic, governmental, and other policy stakeholders and collaborates with over 60 institutions globally. AHRI prioritises the training of the next generation of African scientists.

AATOSA, as an affiliate of CAASA, is where all reputable aviation training organisations have the opportunity to collectively discuss and partake in the direction where commercial and general aviation is heading in South Africa. Through CAASA we have a role to play in the rules, regulations and practices that governs and promotes aviation. AATOSA creates an opportunity to be involved, share opinions and contribute to the growth of the aviation sector and skills development. Every aviation training organization should be part of this association and every customer, student and instructor of such an ATO should insist on it!

Association for Skills Development in South Africa (ASDSA)

The Association for Skills Development in South Africa (ASDSA) is a Section 21 company that represents skills development practitioners and skills development administrators, which includes facilitators, assessors, moderators and training providers. Members are required to abide by a code of conduct and a constitution.
ASDSA is is a non-statutory, SAQA-recognised professional body.
They have three professional designations:

  1. Skills Development Technician (SD.Tech);
  2. Skills Development Practitioner (SD.Pr);
  3. Skills Development Master (SD.Mas)

Association of Aviation Design Organisations (AADO)

The Association of Aviation Design Organisation was founded in 2014 and aligned itself as an affiliate of CAASA in mid 2016. Primarily developed to protect the interest of the South African CAR Part 147 Approved Design Organisations and provide a unified representation from Industry to the SACAA relating to the design activities of the member organisations, the association now has a more significant role to play providing technical advice to CAASA and its various sub-committees and embers where aircraft design, modification, testing and certification issues are raised.
