South African Domestic Service and Allied Workers Union (SADSAWU)

Today, after many campaigns, demonstrations and petitions domestic workers are now covered and can fully enjoy the benefits of the labour laws. Yet the struggle continues. There remains a long road ahead in ensuring that domestic workers are educated in their rights and enjoy these rights. Simultaneously, workers must be given the freedom to inform their employer of their desire to join the SA Domestic Service and Allied Workers Union as well as to guarantee the universal recognition of domestic work as a valuable workforce in the modern economy.

South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG)

SADAG is a Non-Profit Organisation, a Registered Section 21 Company, with an 18a tax exemption. It has on its board a powerful team of Patients, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and General Practitioners. SADAG was established twenty years ago to serve as a support network for the thousands of South Africans who live with mental health problems. Currently, it is estimated that 1 in 5 people will, or do, suffer from a mental illness. SADAG manages a 16-line counselling-and-referral call centre, and is the voice of patient advocacy, working in urban, peri-urban, and the most rural communities across South Africa.

The Equestrian Qualifications Authority of SA (EQASA) was formerly the SANEF National Instructors’ Plan. Since 1976, Equestrian Education in southern Africa has achieved substantial growth across many learning pathways through certification, formerly under the banner of the SANEF National Instructors’ Plan. Equine and equestrian industry needs and the changing educational environment of the world in general and South Africa in particular, determined that the scope and reach of our programmes required a transformation of the NIP into EQASA.

EQASA’s vision is: To address all equine and equestrian educational needs for the benefit of all and to grow pride in certified knowledge. In addition to a variety of stand alone subject skills competency certifications, 12 levels of certification are offered.
