The function of the ECLB is to regulate the registration of retail sales
and micro-manufacturing of liquor in the the Eastern Cape. A further function of the ECLB is to advise the Member of the Executive Council of the Province for Economic Development and Environmental Affairs with regard to liquor industry matters and to exercise certain further powers contemplated in the Eastern Cape Liquor Act 10 of 2003, and the National Liquor Act 53 of 2003.
Vervet Monkey Foundation (VMF)
The Vervet Monkey Foundation (VMF) is a non-profit organization (#020 694 NPO) established in 1993. Our centre is based in Tzaneen in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. We rehabilitate and provide sanctuary to over 600 primates, orphaned, injured, abused, ex-laboratory or unwanted pets.

FABI, the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute, at the University of Pretoria, is a post-graduate research institute that was established in 1997, based on a recognition that the future of forestry and agriculture in South Africa will strongly depend on the incorporation of new and emerging technologies into these industries. Major opportunities for these industries have emerged in recent times, from the applications of biotechnology and bioinformatics, amongst many others.
