The primary objective of the SA Friends of the Hebrew University (SAFHU) is to fundraise for research projects at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, in areas such as cancer research, Nano technology, advances in agriculture and more. Through the strides made in the above mentioned research, we aim to bring the developments back into the South African community.

If South Africa is to remain competitive within the global economic environment it is important that our higher education provides opportunities for students to obtain a global perspective to their studies. Any individual/higher education institution/organisation interested in the aims of the IEASA may apply for membership.

The Framework was approved in 2018 by the Minister of Higher Education and Training (Naledi Pandor) and is implemented as part of the University Capacity Development Programme (UCDP)
