Eastern Cape Canoe Union (ECCU)

The Eastern Cape Canoe Club was formed in 1963 by Norman Dyer and Tony Oshery, and the official provincial Union followed in 1977 under chairman Eldon Slabbert, with his son Stanford as secretary. The region’s premier event is undoubtedly the annual Hansa Fish River Marathon, ending in the Karoo town of Cradock, which now attracts over 1700 paddlers annually. Western Cape Canoe Union (WCCU)

The Western Cape Canoe Union (WCCU) serves primarily as a regional planning, administration & communication coordinator, for the paddle sports of flat water and river canoeing (K1 & K2), ocean surfski, canoe polo and wave ski in the Western Cape. WCCU is run by representatives from the affiliated clubs and coordinates the local Club and Metro / District organising efforts.

Ten Pin Bowling of South Africa (TBASA)

The Tenpin Bowling Association of SA (TBASA) is the governing body of Tenpin Bowling in South Africa.

As such, the body is primarily responsible for the establishment and enforcement of rules and regulations for all Tenpin Bowling activities within South Africa and for ensuring that these are not contradictory to International standards.

As with any professional sporting body, TBASA is responsible for setting out criteria for national tournaments, as well as for the selection of South African teams participating in International events.

TBASA aims to encourage the development of the sport, with special focus on establishing a youth participation and retention programme, as well as developing a media strategy.

SAMCA is the South African Majorette and Cheerleading Association is the SASCOC (South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee) recognized Federation for Majorettes and Cheerleading in South Africa. They have Regional offices in 8 Provinces, making accessibility within reach for all athletes and interested shareholders.

The Association strives to promote and make the sport with its related activities available to any athlete in South Africa. Athletes in neighbouring countries who find the sport interesting are more than welcome to take part.
