To disseminate knowledge in science and technology to the public in general and the youth in particular through imaginative and enjoyable hands-on exhibits, displays and programmes, so that they can appreciate the relevance of science and technology in their daily lives.
The Royal Society of South Africa has as its aim the furtherance of all aspects of science, and is the oldest multi-disciplinary science-based Society in South Africa. It consists of Fellows and Foreign Associates who are elected solely on the basis of their scientific standing, and Members elected on the basis of their interest in science
Continue reading →The SA Association for Clinical Biochemistry and Laboratory Medicine is dedicated to the promotion of Clinical Biochemistry and Chemical Pathology in Africa. The SAACB is affiliated to the IFCC. The membership of the association is open to scientists, technologists and medical personnel who have an interest in diagnostic clinical chemistry and chemical pathology. In addition, corporate membership is also available to any interested corporate bodies and companies. The Association provides a forum for intellectual and scientific interchange, is responsible for organising and contributing to the annual South African Pathology Congress and also makes available a number of educational awards to eligible individuals.

This includes measuring, testing, calibration, verification and other bodies, as well as laboratories which operate in well-defined areas of R&D in the natural and applied sciences.
The objectives of the new National Laboratory Association is to become a truly representative association for accredited and non-accredited member laboratories.
