The Institute of Energy Professionals Africa (IEPA) Non-Profit Organisation (NPO) provides credible, recognised and high quality accredited skills and training programs to the Sub-Saharan African market and facilitates continuous development of the trained individuals through internationally recognised certification programs.

IEPA represents the international certification body the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) in the Sub-Sahara Africa region. AEE has global presence in over 100 countries, with 18,000+ professionals holding over 32,000+ certifications. IEPA is an independent examination and certification processing body, and developer of training administration providers and trainers for the Sub-Sahara Africa Region for the AEE.

Services include training, proctoring international examinations, facilitating the certification and certification renewal of professionals, developing chapters, overseeing the quality of service delivery of partners, and managing capacity building projects in the energy and resource efficiency industries in the Sub-Saharan African region.

Thermal Panel Manufacturers Association (TPMA) represents the South African sandwich thermal panel industry on technical, regulatory, quality assurance and product acceptance issues. TPMA Members include 5 of the leading manufacturers of polystyrene, polyurethane, polyisocyanurate and rockwool cored panels. Associate Members include manufacturers of modular buildings as well as laminators, distributors and equipment suppliers. TPMA is a vital resource for both producers and users of industry products. As standards developer, TPMA writes and publishes industry product standards. It also participates in the standards development work of the SABS. TPMA also conducts product testing and third-party certification by the Omega Test House. The Association publishes industry performance data, produces a series of technical bulletins and develops publications to inform professionals and specifiers about the attributes of industry products.

Southern African Youth in Energy Sector (SAYES)

The Southern African Youth in Energy Sector (SAYES) is your source for info & networking for our up and coming Energy Professionals in the dynamic fields of energy engineering, energy management, renewables, power generation, energy services, sustainability, and related areas.

SAYES was established to become the local representative networking group for the youth to drive change in previously disadvantaged communities.

The AEE chapter and team in South Africa embarked on its third round of the Energy Skills Programme for Youth, developing learners from previously disadvantaged backgrounds within the energy industry. The project funded by the Limpopo Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET) Department was setup to develop learners towards the Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) AEE program, and as a basis, tests and exams are aligned to South African qualification modules to prepare them for the international examination.

The Southern African Females in Energy Efficiency is a platform established by the SAEEC for operations driven by women in the South African energy industry.

The Southern African Females in Energy Efficiency (SAFEE), a division of the Southern African Association for Energy Efficiency (SAEE), would like to take this opportunity to invite your organisation to co-host mentorship breakfasts for university female students in the energy sector.

Founded in 2002, the SAEE is a non-profit coordinating body for energy efficiency in Southern Africa. The SAEE’s work encompasses an umbrella focus towards the continuous, efficient use of energy to support the viability and sustainability of a healthy energy mix and energy efficient businesses.
