The Institute for Work at Height consist of both a Trade Association as well as a Professional Body.
The Institute consists of nine chambers, representing the following working at height sectors:

The Institute for Work at Height is a non-statutory, SAQA-recognised professional body. They have three professional designations:
(1) Certified Work at Height Practitioner;
(2) Certified Work at Height Professional;
(3) Certified Work at Height Technician (IWHTech)
