Organisation of South African Law Libraries (OSALL)

OSALL is the Organisation of South African Law Libraries – the national law library organisation of South Africa and was established in 1976. There are about 150 members from university libraries, bar associations, private law firms, the government sector, courts and publishing houses. Our head quarters are in Gauteng but we have members all over South Africa. We welcome membership applications from anyone interested in law librarianship.

National Ostrich Processors of South Africa (NOPSA)

Ports Regulator of South Africa (PRSA)

The Regulator’s key function is economic regulation of the ports system in South Africa, in line with the strategic development context of the state. In accordance with this mandate, the Regulator performs certain functions and activities in the industry that relate mainly to regulation of pricing and other aspects of economic regulation, promotion of equity of access to ports facilities and services, monitoring the industry’s compliance with the regulatory framework and also hearing any complaints and appeals lodged with it.

National Youth Development Outreach (NYDO)

In 1990 Billy Paulson established a Community Development Organization called “Youth Development Outreach” (YDO). With a mission to train, teach and develop young people and taking a firm stand against the evils of society influencing the youth. This would be accomplished through unconditional acceptance.
Over the years, the organisation has grown and developed to offer a comprehensive range of prevention and intervention services, as well as developmental programmes aimed at shaping the future of South Africa by developing new skills, knowledge and values among children, youth, and their families, to help them achieve their fullest potential in life.

To achieve its mission, NYDO focuses on addressing the underlying socio-economic conditions that increase the risk factors for criminal behaviour, such as poverty, unemployment, and inadequate parenting

National Foundry Technology Network (NFTN)

Milk South Africa (MSA)

Milk SA is entrusted by the Government to administrate statutory regulations in pursuit of its strategic direction to broaden the market for milk and other dairy products, improve the international competitiveness of the dairy industry and empower previously disadvantaged persons. Since 2002 already, Milk South Africa has been adding value to the South African dairy industry through the promotion of the image and consumption of South African dairy products and the development of the South African dairy industry through value-added services such as to:

  • Educate the consumer about the nutrition and health benefits of dairy;
  • Improve the quality and safety of dairy products;
  • Publish reliable statistical and other information;
  • Promote the South African dairy trade dispensation;
  • Co-ordinate, initiate and fund research and development projects; and
  • Transfer knowledge and skills to previously disadvantaged persons.
    • The Members of Milk SA comprise the Milk Producers’ Organisation (MPO) and the SA Milk Processors’ Organisation (SAMPRO).

Merino Landskaap advocate the breeding of Merino Landsheep.The Merino Landsheep delivers a good crop of white wool with an average micron of 22 – 28 and an A length at 12 months even with lactating ewes.  A very informative fact is that only 2 pure white wool breeds participated in the above mentioned Phase C tests.  Thereby it has been proved that the Merino Landsheep can be crossed with any pure white wool breed without any problems of soiling of the wool of even the weakening of the fleece.
