Through research, sharing of best practice and community collaboration, we aim to grow a strong literacy community. We bring together individuals and organisations using various platforms including our workshops, national conference, outreach programmes, scholarly journal, website and social media. We operate at a national level and have four branches working locally. We comprise members who come from various spheres at all levels within the literacy sector. LITASA is a registered NPO and PBO.

LIASA is a non-profit organisation (009-577NPO), uniting and representing all institutions and people working in libraries and information services in South Africa.
It strives to unite, develop and empower all people in the library and information field into an organisation that provides dynamic leadership in transforming, developing and sustaining library and information services for all people in South Africa. LIASA’s membership consists of individuals interested in or working in libraries and information services and institutions or organisations that maintain or are interested in libraries and information services.

La Leche League Leaders are experienced breastfeeding mothers, trained and accredited by LLL, who are happy to help other mothers with questions and concerns about breastfeeding. This one-to-one approach is one of the most effective and friendly ways of getting the support you need.
The Ladysmith Tourism Association is committed to promoting Ladysmith and its surrounding areas as a world class tourism destination. Ladysmith’s geographic location has always been its strong point. With more than 50 accommodation establishments in and around Ladysmith, tourism is a major job creator and contributes to the economic growth of Emnambithi.
The Association is supported by the Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality and contributes to the development of tourism by advising the Municipality where needed.
