In 1993 ACCA was formally relaunched in South Africa having left the country when its members were absorbed into the Public Accountants’ and Auditors’ Board on that body’s launch in 1951. From 1994 ACCA tuition and examinations have been provided in South Africa with papers in South African tax and company law.
ACCA is is a non-statutory, SAQA-recognised professional body. They have two professional designations:

1. Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA);
2. Associate Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA)
