The African Institute of the Interior Design Professions (IID) is the only professional body representing the Design Industry in Africa. The IID is dedicated to establishing, promoting and maintaining expertise, professionalism, sound business practice and high standards throughout the industry. The IID is is a non-statutory, SAQA-recognised professional body. They have four professional designations:

1. Professional Interior Decorator;
2. Professional Interior Designer;
3. Professional Senior Interior Designer;
4. Professional Interior Architect
