The South African Facilities Management Association (SAFMA) is a self-sustaining body recognised locally and internationally for its meaningful role in the South African Facilities Management Community. SAFMA defines Facilities Management as an enabler of sustainable enterprise performance through the whole life management of productive workplaces and effective business support services.
The SA Facilities Management Association is a non-statutory, SAQA-recognised professional body. They have four professional designations:

  1. Certified Facilities Practitioner;
  2. Certified Facilities Specialist;
  3. Certified Facilities Professional;
  4. Accredited Facilities Professional

Equestrian Qualifications Authority of Southern Africa (EQASA)

The Equestrian Qualifications Authority of SA (EQASA) was formerly the SANEF National Instructors’ Plan. Since 1976, Equestrian Education in southern Africa has achieved substantial growth across many learning pathways through certification, formerly under the banner of the SANEF National Instructors’ Plan. Equine and equestrian industry needs and the changing educational environment of the world in general and South Africa in particular, determined that the scope and reach of our programmes required a transformation of the NIP into EQASA.

EQASA’s vision is: To address all equine and equestrian educational needs for the benefit of all and to grow pride in certified knowledge. In addition to a variety of stand alone subject skills competency certifications, 12 levels of certification are offered.

South African Falconry Association (SAFA)

The South African Falconry Association is the umbrella governing body representing South African falconers since 1991 through their respective provincial falconry clubs.

There are no individual members of SAFA. Falconers belong to SAFA through their membership of a provincial club.

South African Development Studies Association (SADSA)

On 30 September 2011 a founding conference was held at Unisa during which a unanimous decision was taken to establish the Association. The conference was attended by 60 academics from about 11 South African universities. In his opening speech at the conference, the VC and Principal, Prof Mandla Makhanyemphasised the importance of forming a subject association to promote the interests of the discipline of Development Studies and to act as a clearing house in negotiations with the government and other bodies.

South African Deaf Sports Federation (SADSF)

South African Deaf Sports Federation (SADSF) is the official governing body of Deaf Sports in South Africa responsible for sending, supporting, funding the teams representing South Africa and the Deaf sports people at the Deaflympics since 1993.

The SADSF is also affiliated with South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) as known newly named Sports South Africa (Sports SA), which is the national governing body in South Africa responsible for Olympics and Paralympics.
