Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA)

The Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa is an independent, domestic, administrative tribunal that ensures that broadcasters who are members of the NAB comply with the Codes of Conduct relating to broadcasting (radio and television) as well as online content for signatories that offer online content services. According to its Constitution, the BCCSA is a voluntary association. The BCCSA is capable of suing and being sued in its corporate name; performing all such acts as are necessary for or incidental to the carrying out of its objectives; and for the performance of its functions and duties under this Constitution.

B-BEE Commission (BBBEEC)

We are established by Section 13B of B-BBEE Act 46 of 2013 and we have jurisdiction throughout the South Africa. We must be impartial and perform our functions without fear, favour or prejudice, in the most cost-effective manner and in accordance with the values and principles mentioned in section 195 of the Constitution. In terms of Section 13E, we are financed from money that is appropriated by Parliament for the B-BBEE Commission, and money lawfully received from any other source. The Auditor-General is mandated to audit our financial records every year.

Bargaining Council for the Fast Food, Restaurnt, Catering and Allied Trades (BCFFRCAT)

The vision of the parties to the Council is to create labour stability within the industry, avoid shop floor negotiations and avoid strikes by having a National Council with a national collective agreement, agents to monitor and enforce the collective agreement, a forum for negotiations and conclusion of agreements on wages, benefits and other conditions of employment, as well as a speedy dispute resolution centre to deal with disputes, and an inquiry by an arbitrator which will be provided by the Council at no cost to parties in order to save employers and employees money and unnecessary delays.

As the prime export council in South Africa that focuses on built-environmental professions, we operate in a partnership with the South African Department of Trade and Industry (dti). As a result, our mandate is in line with their objectives: diversifying South Africa’s export sector by helping built-environment companies identify and access new markets. Additionally, we are also working towards transforming South Africans exports by helping smaller and black-owned businesses become export ready.
